Inclusion, Moderation, and the Study of Islamist Movements

This project analyzes 53 works of scholarship on the inclusion-moderation literature published between 1994 and 2022. The dataset codes how scholars conceptualize moderation, including references to democracy, pluralism, de-Islamization, non-violence, and working within existing political systems.

Fieldwork and Interview-Based Research

My book project draws on extensive fieldwork and interviews across the Middle East and North Africa. Because these materials include human-subjects research and sensitive political contexts, interview transcripts and identifying details are not publicly available. I may share selected research instruments, anonymized excerpts, or methodological appendices where appropriate.

Ongoing Data Collection

This section includes materials from current projects in development, including preliminary descriptive statistics, coding instruments, and documentation. Additional materials will be posted as projects advance.
